Our Story

We love the warmth and joy that candles create, but are saddened by the fact that most vessels aren’t recycled, most big name candles are made from paraffin (a petroleum byproduct / fossil fuel), and many fragrances contain toxins that can pollute the air when burned.

We believe true luxury should be sustainable, ethical, and unique! That’s why we started Mugxury!

We hand-select mugs from estate sales, antique shops, thrift stores, discount retailers, donations, seasonal clearance, discontinued designs, wholesale liquidations, etc. to give them a new life. We inspect each mug and perform water & flame tests to ensure they’re candle-safe. 

We then create clean, long-burning candles using 100% renewable USA soy wax. Never any paraffin or petrochemical wax!

Our luxurious fragrance oil blends and dyes are non-toxic, skin-safe, phthalate-free and CA prop 65 compliant.

We design each and every Mugxury candle to match the mug’s personality. Each unique candle is hand-poured in Nashua, NH in small, limited-edition batches.
