Enjoying Your Candle

Some common sense (but important!) refreshers:

• Store in a cool, dry place. Being a natural product, soy wax has a low melting point (around 115 degrees).

• As delicious as they may look and smell, our candles are not edible. Keep away from curious pets or children.

• Read the bottom safety sticker and remove handle tags before burning.

• Always burn on a heat-resistant surface away from flammable objects.

• The first burn may have the weakest scent performance, as (a) the wax accents are unscented and (b) the top of the candle has been exposed to air the longest, thus evaporating some of the fragrance oil from the top layer. As you burn through the candle, the scent performance will strengthen.

• For the best performance, trim the wick to 1/4" - 1/2" between burns, and burn in 3-4 hour increments. (If your mug is wider than 4”, you may need to burn for up to 5 hours. A good rule of thumb is to burn your candle for one hour for every inch of diameter.) As you burn through the candle, the melt pool will form more easily as heat is reflected inward by the mug itself.

• After burning, do not touch or move the mug until it is completely cool and the wax has re-solidified.

• Never leave a burning candle unattended!
